  • Deane Audiology Govt Hearing Service Providers

    Hearing Services Program

    As registered providers, Deane Audiology are accredited to provide eligible patients with free or subsidised products and services under the Federal Government’s Hearing Services Program (HSP).

    To be eligible you must meet one of the below criteria:

    - A Pension Card Holder

    - Sickness Beneficiary

    - Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold Card or DVA White Card (conditions apply)

    - A dependent of a person in one of the above categories

    - Australian Defence Force or

    - an NDIS participant

  • Deane Audiology Medicare Hearing Service Providers

    Medicare

    Medicare rebates may be claimable for audiology services if a patient has a referral from a GP, an ENT, Neurologist or as an Indigenous Allied Health follow-up.

    A GP referral is most common, via a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) referral. This allows for up to 5 services per annum, approx $52.95 per session and include item codes 721, 723 and 731.

    WorkCover Insurance

    Unfortunately, hearing loss as a result of a workplace related incident affects some workers who then become eligible for compensation under the WorkSafe authority. Deane Audiology is an accredited WorkSafe contracted service provider providing professional advice, treatment services and devices to help live a better quality of life.

    NDIS

    The NDIS is a new way of providing support/funding to Australian citizens under the age of 65 with a permanent disability, including hearing loss.

    Support may include individual personal care, access to community services and therapies and essential equipment required.

    Deane Audiology is not an accredited provider as we cannot provide all services to everyone, however, we are very happy to advise and put you in the right place with reputable providers nearby.

    Private Self-Funded

    We advocate knowing about your health and choosing what’s right for you. An untreated hearing loss worsens issues arising from cognitive impairment and may influence quality of life but by properly treating a hearing loss we can enhance cognition, significantly reduce risks of dementia , and improve physical wellbeing.

    We work closely with 29+ GP’s , several nurses and ENT’s, nutritionists, exercise physiotherapists and occupational therapists, neurologists and more. We believe that integrated whole-person Audiological care offers incredible personalised solutions.
